Reading Station

There are a variety of very reasonable reading station configurations and reading software programs used by PET/CT radiologists.

AT PETCTMD, we use the following, though we specifically endorse none:

Hardware:

We utilize two high-resolution 30” reading monitors (landscape orientation) and a 3rd monitor for workflow (RIS, dictation, email…).  We augment this set-up with an iPad.

Software:

There are several solid PET/CT reading software programs available for radiology practices, each with its relative strengths and weaknesses.

At PETCT MD, we prefer MIMfusion software, though our choice should not be construed as a specific endorsement.

Hanging Protocol:

Until you have gained enough experience to create your own hanging protocols, we strongly urge you to begin with our system – one developed over many years and many tens of thousands of cases.

Our system is designed for viewing on a 2-monitor reading system, as illustrated above.
